‘MILO’ EXPANDS ITS PRESENCE IN AUDIO STORYTELLING

DeAPlaneta Entertainment continues to drive the expansion of Milo, the globally renowned preschool series, across various formats, with the addition of new strategic partners in the field of audio storytelling. The company has signed agreements with FABA and Tappi that will bring the world of the beloved kitten to new audiences, creating moments of play and discovery beyond the screen.

The exclusive storytelling system developed by FABA, which combines audio characters, learning, and entertainment, will offer young children new stories to listen to, imagine, and continue discovering the wonderful world of vocations alongside their favorite characters.

The agreement with Tappi, in turn, will allow for the exploration of new ways to bring the adventures of Milo and his friends into the realm of interactive books. Tappi’s approach combines physical books with an audio system that lets children listen to stories, music, and games as they explore the pages.

Gianluca Ferrara, Head of DeAPlaneta Italy and International Head of Toys, celebrated the new partnerships: “With FABA and Tappi, we’re expanding Milo’s universe into the growing world of screen-free audio experiences, a space particularly well suited to preschoolers. The two partners bring innovative and complementary approaches: FABA through its audio storytelling ecosystem, and Tappi by combining traditional books with interactive audio. Together, these partnerships offer new ways for children to engage with Milo beyond the screen, while helping us further consolidate the brand’s presence across Europe and continue its expansion in North America.”

“The character of Milo won us over immediately, and working with DeAPlaneta Entertainment to bring him to FABA felt like a natural fit. It is a partnership we strongly believe in, as Milo perfectly embodies the spirit of our editorial offering. Adding such a beloved character to FABA’s screen-free audio world means giving children access to high-quality stories that spark their imagination and take them on exciting journeys through listening”, said Sara Visentin, Chief Content Officer of FABA.

Nan Wang, Co-Founder of Tappi, added: “We love how Milo inspires children to discover different jobs and explore the world around them. With Tappi, we’re excited to make those adventures even more interactive, playful, and fun.”

The agreement with FABA comprises the territories of Italy, Ticino, Spain, and the Netherlands, while the partnership with Tappi will operate in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Both collaborations are part of DeAPlaneta Entertainment’s strategy to develop Milo as a cross-platform brand, whose strong global position has generated significant anticipation for its third season, set to premiere in 2027.

The DeAPlaneta Entertainment team will be attending Milano Licensing Day on September 17 to present this new partnership, as well as other updates on Milo and the various brands in its portfolio.
