DEAPLANETA ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH MANGOUSTE ANIM FOR ‘GRENDIZER’ AND ‘GRENDIZER U’

DeAPlaneta Entertainment will manage the licensing rights for Grendizer (also known as Goldrake in Italy, and Goldorak in France) in Spain, Latin America, North America, Greece, Italy, CIS, and German-, French-, and Portuguese-speaking territories. This classic mecha series was created by Go Nagai in 1975 as part of the Mazinger Z universe. It is one of the series that introduced Western audiences to Japanese anime and has become a cult classic for several generations. With this addition, DeAPlaneta Entertainment strategically strengthens its position in the kidult market.

 

The company will also be responsible for the media and consumer products strategy for Grendizer U, based on the original work by Go Nagai. This reboot introduces the character to a new generation and also features the iconic Mazinger Z, making possible a crossover that has been eagerly awaited by its legion of fans.

 

DeAPlaneta Entertainment will manage the broadcast of Grendizer U in Spain, LATAM, North America (including Mexico, the United States and English-speaking Canada) and CIS, as well as in Portuguese-speaking countries (including Portugal, Brazil, and African territories where Portuguese is the official language) and Greece. The company will coordinate merchandising licenses from a list of 118 products in all these territories, as well as in German-speaking countries (including Germany and Austria) and French-speaking countries (including France, Belgium, Canada, and African countries where French is the official language) and Italy. This agreement has been reached in partnership with Mangouste Anim and marks the first collaboration between the two companies, which are already working on further joint projects.
